Winter Magic in Algund

In winter, Algund transforms into a beautiful winter landscape. The cold season brings peace and coziness to the village. Particularly during Advent, the small but charming Christmas market in the town center attracts visitors with its festive atmosphere and handmade products. Here, you can discover local craftsmanship and warm up with a hot drink.

But Algund offers not only a winter idyll but also action-packed experiences for snow and winter sports enthusiasts. The nearby Meran 2000 ski resort is just a short drive away and offers everything a skier or snowboarder could wish for across 40 kilometers of slopes. Also, with 25 kilometers of hiking trails, hiking enthusiasts will find plenty of options, and for cozy ski tourers, the Kuhleitenalm is open during the day and from January onwards, on Thursday to Saturday evenings.

The Schwemmalm ski resort in the Ultental Valley, Pfelders, or Schnalstal Valley are also just a three-quarters hour by car away.

Famous ski tours, such as the Weißkugel in Schnalstal Valley, the Hasenöhrl in Ultental Valley, the Botzer, Seelenkogel, Hohe Kreuzspitze in Passeiertal Valley, or the Cevedale and Zufallspitze in Martelltal Valley, are all easily accessible from us.
